Smart Farm Lab @ KitSam
To cultivate students' STEAM, green technology, and social entrepreneurship skills, our school collaborates with the external organization FarmacyHK to implement a cross-disciplinary "Smart Farm Project." This project enriches students' learning experiences through both on-campus and off-campus practices and sharing, enabling them to deeply explore, question, and develop problem-solving abilities. We have established a smart farm laboratory in the biology room and recruited 100 junior and senior high school students to become planting ambassadors. Students will participate in training workshops, documenting their learning process and organizing their knowledge using Goodnotes, and upload their records to the interactive learning platform Google Classroom to co-create learning outcomes.
Students will learn to integrate technology into agricultural planting and acquire skills in social entrepreneurship. They will share their home-grown crops through business and charity initiatives with community members, thereby enriching their interdisciplinary learning experiences and enhancing their green skills and community awareness, as well as strengthening their adaptability and problem-solving abilities in science and innovation.
Our school has held multiple student workshops in the smart farm laboratory, inviting various primary schools to participate. The student ambassadors from our smart farm explain the farm's operations and teach elementary students how to use scientific and technological techniques for planting, promoting hands-on experiences with smart farm cultivation.

This initiative aims to broaden learning experiences, further strengthen information technology skills, and enhance students' creative expression and problem-solving abilities.
The program also includes experiential activities, such as visits to technology companies, innovation and technology events, and sharing sessions on the work and employment experiences of technology professionals. Students who successfully complete the course and meet the performance standards will receive a certification credential at Level 2 of the Qualifications Framework as recognition of their achievements.
